Cowen, W.Va. –Martie Jarvis, Business Office Assistant for Webster Nursing & Rehabilitation Center (N&RC) received the West Virginia Activity Professional Association’s (WVAPA) annual Star Award.
The award was presented to Jarvis at the WVAPA’a annual conference at the Grand Pointe Conference Center in Vienna, W.Va., and is presented to a professional working in a skilled nursing facility but does not work in the Activity Department.
“Martie assists with special events and activities,” said Tammy Bess, activity supervisor for Webster N&RC. “She helps serve food, dresses up for events and assists patients as needed. She is one in a million and we would not be able to hold these functions without her.”
AMFM operates 18 skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers throughout West Virginia. The care centers operate in Braxton, Boone, Clay, Cabell, Summers, Fayette, Hardy, Greenbrier, Webster, Wayne, McDowell, Lincoln, Wyoming, Harrison (Clarksburg & Bridgeport), Marshall, Taylor and Mercer counties.
