TEAM AMFM named 2020 AMFM Nursing & Rehabilitation Centers President’s Choice Award Recipients

Published on Oct 29, 2020

Charleston, W.Va. – For the first time since 1993, the AMFM President’s Choice Award winners go beyond individuals and extend to a team of employees. Because all AMFM employees have faced the COVID-19 pandemic with compassion, dedication, and a commitment to care, they are named the 2020 President’s Choice Award recipients.

“The challenges we have asked our employees to step up to is unprecedented,” said AMFM owner John Elliot. “This year has been a challenging time for all of us in both our personal lives and in our profession. Each member of TEAM AMFM has demonstrated courage, compassion and a dedication to our patients and each other while also returning home to care for their own families at the end of each workday.

“Every employee plays a role in caring for our patients and each other. From our Home Office, who provides support to our centers to the frontline caregivers who provide quality patient care, activities, rehabilitation, dietary, environmental, and pharmacy and medical services. Our employees are resilient and have demonstrated bravery in the long-term care profession and it is because of them that we have made it this far,” Elliot continued. “I’m proud of each of you for being a leader in our centers and communities. You have done an amazing job by encouraging those who work alongside you when things get tough. For this, I am thankful.”

In the past, only one or two AMFM employees were selected as the AMFM President’s Choice Award winner. These individuals represent the best qualities of care as defined in the AMFM Mission Statement, “to exemplify excellence in quality care to our customers by providing an environment that enhances personal growth, individuality, dignity and respect.”
