Two AMFM centers tie for number one

Charleston, W.Va. – American Medical Facilities Management (AMFM) has the top two rated skilled nursing and long-term care centers in West Virginia, and a total of eight centers in the top 25 centers. There are more than 120 facilities throughout the state.

The rankings come from the Centers for Medicaid/Medicare Services Five-Star Rating Program and data compiled and analyzed for long-term trends by the America Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL).

E. A. Hawse and Webster Nursing & Rehabilitation Centers (N&RC) tied for the number one ranking in West Virginia. Both centers received deficiency-free inspections this year, and Webster N&RC earned their third deficiency-free survey in a row.

Rounding out the top 10 rankings are Lincoln N&RC in third and Fayette N&RC in fifth. Each of these centers have had deficiency-free state inspections, National Quality Awards from AHCA/NCAL’s quality award program, and high customer and employee satisfaction rankings over the past several years.

Wayne, Clarksburg N&RC, Braxton and Hillcrest Health Care Centers earned top 25 rankings.

“These are trends over a three-year period showing that quality care is improving for our patients,” Tammy Jo Painter, Vice President of Compliance, said. “All of our centers are committed to providing quality care and these results show that we are excelling at our mission.”

A Five-Star rating is the highest rating possible a skilled nursing facility (SNF) can receive. The ratings are calculated from a facility’s state survey results, quality measures and staffing levels. A star rating is provided for each of these sources, and then these ratings are combined to calculate an overall rating.
