AMFM COVID-19 Update

Cameron Nursing & Rehabilitation Center continues testing all patients, employees for COVID-19

Published on Oct 28, 2020

October 28, 2020 – Cameron Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is updating our community on our efforts to identify and isolate cases of COVID-19 within our center. As a result of aggressive testing and monitoring, we have identified the following COVID-19 test results:

• 9 patients tested positive.
• 13 employees tested positive.

Our COVID-positive patients are being cared for in isolation areas and the employees are quarantining at home. We continue to screen employees for signs and symptoms of COVID-19, and have employees assigned to specific care areas. Additionally, Environmental employees are continuously cleaning commonly touched surfaces (doorknobs, handrails, desk, etc…) during day and evening shifts. We continue to receive personal protective equipment (PPE) and other supplies needed.

“We want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers and the positive outpouring of support from our community,” said Brooke Myers, Executive Director for Cameron Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. “Our team is working around the clock to care for our patients. We encourage everyone in the community to continue to follow mask and social distancing guidelines.”

Per the Office of Health Facility Licensure and Certification’s (OHFLAC) guidelines, visitation is now restricted since we are operating in Phase Red. Please remember you can request a TeleVisit (Zoom, Skype) through our website at to stay in touch with your loved one.
