AMFM Nursing & Rehabilitation Centers Statement on COVID-19 Vaccine
In anticipation of the release of the COVID-19 vaccine, AMFM Nursing & Rehabilitation Centers are working with the State of West Virginia and local health care organizations on plans to provide the vaccine to our employees and patients as per the recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The vaccine distribution is a very fluid situation as states across the country prioritize their allotment of the COVID-19 vaccine. As always, we are in direct contact with our patient’s family members on health care decisions, health care updates and when the vaccine may be available for patients. While essential health care professionals and patients are granted the vaccine first, the next opportunity will be when the general public is offered the vaccine which will likely be in the Spring/Summer 2021. We encourage everyone to research the vaccine and be prepared for when it is made available to you or your loved one at the first opportunity.
We understand how long the road to get here has been, and we are ready to take the first steps forward to returning to normal while continuing to follow recommendations by the CDC and local health officials. Please remember those with compromised immune systems in our centers and in your own home who may be affected more severely by COVID-19. As a reminder, we all must continue to do our part by wearing face masks properly, maintaining social distancing with those outside our immediate family and practicing good hygiene by washing our hands or using hand sanitizer to slow down the spread.
We want to thank everyone for the continued prayers, love and support of our patients and employees.
