Charleston, W.Va. – American Medical Facilities Management (AMFM) continued their inclusion on an elite list of long-term care providers in the second “Best Workplaces for Aging Services” list. AMFM ranks 7th on the list of Fortune's top 50 health care providers in the aging sector.
The ranking considered feedback representing 223,183 employees working for Great Place to Work-Certified organizations in Senior Housing & Care and At-Home Care in the Aging Services industry. Great Place to Work, a global people analytics and consulting firm, evaluated more than 60 elements of team members’ experience on the job.
These included the extent to which employees trust leaders, the respect with which people are treated, the fairness of workplace decisions, and how much camaraderie there is among the team. Rankings are based on employees’ feedback and reward companies who best include all employees, no matter who they are or what they do for the organization.
“To be on this list for the second year in a row and jumping from the 24th ranking to number seven shows our commitment to providing the best working environment for our teams as possible,” said John Elliot, owner and founder of AMFM. “Thanks to our incredible teams in every AMFM center for their feedback and helping us continue this path of improving our centers for our patients and communities.”
In the United States, Great Place to Work® (GPTW) produces the annual Fortune "100 Best Companies to Work For®" list and a series of Great Place to Work® Best Workplaces lists including lists for Millennials, Women, Diversity, Small and Medium Companies and over a half dozen different industry lists. In 2017 McKnight’s announced long-term care, senior living and home care would be included in the consumer-media giant’s array of “Best Workplaces” lists.
“The value of creating great workplaces for all is a clear competitive edge in the Aging Services sector,” said Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. “When organizations like AMFM treat their own people with care and respect, you can expect their staff to treat your loved ones with that same care.”
In the augural year AMFM earned the 24th ranking out of the top 40 senior care organizations recognized on the list.
In June, AMFM Nursing & Rehabilitation Centers were certified for the second year in a row as a great workplace. This certification qualified AMFM for the “Best Workplaces for Aging Services” list.
