We’re proud of many AMFM team members who have fulfilled personal goals by advancing their career opportunities and furthering their education with support of the AMFM Family. A variety of career opportunities are available. We offer CNA classes, yearly in-service development training, leadership development training, career growth opportunities in both clinical and non-clinical positions, and nursing scholarship opportunities.
What does your future look like? Let us help you grow by becoming a part of the AMFM Family.
AMFM employees participate in annual in-services and continuing education opportunities to stay up-to-date on the most recent trends and care practices in the long-term care profession.
We are proud that many employees have fulfilled personal goals by advancing their career opportunities and furthering their education with support of the AMFM family. Offering continuous training and development opportunities internally and at the state and national levels, including supervisor training, an internal electronic learning management system, and opportunities to receive paid Continuing Education Units for nurses and other disciplines are ways we invest in our employees.
The Ellen Warder Memorial Scholarship for Nursing Education was established in 2001, and is named after Ellen Warder, Vice President of Legal Affairs for AMFM. In November 1997, Ms. Warder died unexpectedly at the age of 55. The scholarship supports employees who are pursuing or furthering their education in the nursing profession.
Recipients of the scholarship have advanced their careers at AMFM by starting as a Certified Nursing Assistant advancing to higher clinical positions and becoming an Licensed Practical or Registered Nurse.
Because AMFM’s centers are a member of the West Virginia Health Care Association (WVHCA), our employees are eligible to apply for several annual scholarships available. Details are announced each year by the WVHCA and can be located on their website at www.wvhca.org.
